Chefchaouen or the blue city a city in northwestern Morocco, founded in 1471 in the Rif Mountains by the sheriff Ali ibn Rashid al-Alami.
Many theories are built around Chefchaouen and the color of its walls and buildings.
Some say that the color blue represents that of the sea, the others say that this color is painted to repel mosquitoes.
Nobody knows that it is the version but the reality remains to be discovered.
To be fair, these theories have added notoriety to this beautiful city of Morocco.
Early in the morning, we will leave Tangier in the direction of Chefchaouen.
Once in Chefchaouen, we will visit the old medina with a local guide.
This tour includes the main streets and the most famous souks,
where you will surely appreciate the exotic atmosphere that makes this place one of the historical and remarkable places by its mountains and its atmosphere.
We will begin this visit by The source of Ras Elma which is a source of mineral water which is the fame of Chaouen.
Also, during this visit, we will also visit the Ethnographic Museum of Chefchaouen (entrance is not included in the price of the tour.).
This museum is varied between crafts, clothing and musical instruments.
This cultural tour will allow you to learn more about the active lifestyle in this region of Morocco.
Subsequently, we will take lunch which will be served in one of the cozy restaurants overlooking the grassy hills of the Rif Mountains.
In the afternoon, and after finishing our visit in the most beautiful sites of Chefchaouen, cities of the mountains, the famous streets that marked the Andalusian Arab heritage, we will meet again to return to Tangier.
On the way back to Tangier, we will visit Tetouan, another city famous for its Mediterranean beaches, which welcome thousands of Moroccans every year.
